As a non for profit service organisation we have continued to grow in experience, insights and leadership. We cemented our role as the ‘People’s Place’ of our community. We operate on the Community Development model of practice. Our program is developed in response to the needs of the community and changes each term to reflect classes, workshops and social spaces our community has suggested. Our priority is always to support diversity, promote inclusion and participation and build the capacity of our community to be resilient, connected and empowered. Our role as Neighbourhood House means we are positioned to advocate for our community and we have proudly done so on many occasions.
I would like to personally acknowledge and applaud our wonderful team on the Committee of Governance and the work you have done over the past 12 months. I celebrate your enthusiasm, dedication and commitment. I thank those who have decided to vacate positions and wish you all well with your new ventures. I welcome our new committee members to the team & I look forward to robust and busy year ahead.
