To advance the social and public welfare of the more vulnerable members of our community. We provide a range of supports and programs for people experiencing hardship & disadvantage.
Our community lawn mower bank has been set up to address the barriers that prevent people from mowing their own lawns. The barriers of access have been identified & addressed through this services.
Our Lawn Mower Bank is a service available to those in Latrobe Valley who are experiencing hardship or difficulty getting access to a lawn mower to mow their lawns. If you require access to a lawn mower, you can book via phone or in person at the House. Lawn mowers must be picked up by 10am on day of booking and returned by 3pm. We ask for a gold coin donation of that will contribute to fuel costs.We respectfully request that you do not refuel our mowers.
If you are a new borrower we will also ask to sight & copy current ID with name & address on it.
- Morwell Neighbourhood House and Learning Centre reserves the right to refuse services, including the lending of a lawnmower, to person/s who are being abusive or threatening in any manner.
- Morwell Neighbourhood House and Learning Centre reserves the right to refuse services, including the loan of a lawnmower, to person/s who are under the influence.
- Morwell Neighbourhood House and Learning Centre reserves the right to refuse the lending of a lawnmower if the person/s who is borrowing it has not taken care of the mower or returned it frequently late in the past.
- Morwell Neighbourhood House and Learning Centre reserves the right to refuse the loan of a lawnmower if the person/s transportation is deemed unroadworthy/ unsuitable.
